24 & 25 WEEKS

i had a proud moment fine meltdown this past weekend when i tried to find something in my closet to wear to a cookout that wasn't andrew's shorts or sweatpants and realized i had nothing to wear. i am down to a handful of tops that fit over this stomach and are long enough where you don't see my underbelly (nobody wants to see that) and i have a total of TWO pairs of shorts that fit me because they are maternity shorts. the dresses i do have are more fall dresses now and it just isn't fall at all here in alabama yet. poor andrew, the sucker came into the room and saw me laying on the closet floor in full on tears. i finally high-tailed it over to gap yesterday and the maternity section clearance had an additional 40% off so bam. two more pairs of shorts for $2.50 and $6.25 a piece. i'd say that was worth the small price.
we cleared out the guest room in preparation of moving addison over to her new bedroom once we get her big girl bed. i'm anxious to do that because i get to start decorating her new big girl bedroom and i get to start playing around in the baby room. i'm hoping to have that entire transition decorated and done by the end of october. fingers crossed i can make this happen.
addison keeps lifting up my shirt and saying baby and it's just the sweetest thing ever. i think she is slowly understanding the idea of a baby coming but i don't think it's going to hit her until december comes and the baby is here.
i'm already at every two week doctor appointments instead of every four and gosh this time around seemed to go by SO much faster than the last time. i'm savoring every bump and kick and quiet nap and play date we are getting around here because things are going to be so different once another tiny one is added to the mix, not to mention andrew's travel goes way up again come january so i'm really not looking forward to that piece.
spending the next few weeks praying for cooler weather and the chance to wear a long sleeve top or a pair of jeans is what i'm all about this month! keep growing though baby because you're doing beautifully so far!
